What happens in a counselling session?
It is a safe space for you to talk about and explore your thoughts, emotions, and behaviours related to your issues.
How long does a session last?
Each session will last for 50 minutes.
How often are sessions?
Usually once a week, on the same day and at the same time. However this depends on your personal circumstances. We can agree together what is right for you.
Can I attend online?
Yes, online and telephone sessions are available.
What do you do with my personal information?
I have a detailed privacy policy, please have a read.
Are the sessions confidential?
What we discuss stays between you and I, there a couple of exceptions relating to legal and ethical obligations. We can discuss any concerns you may have during our introductory call.
How do I pay for my sessions?
Payable by bank transfer at least 48 hours before the session. Bank transfer is preferred, however, if you attend sessions in-person and need to pay by cash this can be discussed.
How does counselling end?
It’s your decision when counselling will end, I can help you during our sessions to decide whats right for you.
What happens when I go on holiday?
Just let me know in advance that you will be away, we can schedule a session for your return and talk about what support if any is required for when you are away.
What happens if I need to cancel an appointment unexpectedly?
To aviod a session charge my cancellation policy requires 48 hours notice. Things in life happen, let me know as soon as you can that you can’t attend and we can arrange a your next session.
What issues can counselling help with?
